Parking at Texas A & M University/ Chemistry Department

The nearest parking garage to the chemistry building is the Northside Parking Garage.  The fee is $2.00/hr the first and secound hour, see table for details (pay by space , no attendant).

Warning :  The Northside Garage normally fills by 10am on school days. 

the Central Campus Garage is also fairly close and has more visitor parking.  You may find an empty space after each class period.

The West Campus Garage is almost always empty, but it is a long walk to the chemistry building.

Service

 Vendor permits are available from the Parking and Transportation services at TAMU 

Vendor Parking
Vendor and service permits cost $240/year plus tax and are designed for non-affiliates of the university; faculty, staff or enrolled students enrolled at TAMU are not eligible for vendor/service permits. All representatives conducting business on campus must display a valid TAMU parking permit. Vendor and Service permits are hang tags that are displayed from the rearview mirror of the vehicle and are transferable from one vehicle to another. Either permit is issued to a specific individual and ownership is not transferable. Vendor/service permits may be renewed annually.

Vendor and Service permits are available at daily, weekly and monthly rates:

  • $5/day
  • $15/week
  • $25/month

Vendor permits are valid only in the areas designated on the following map: Vendor Parking Map

Service permits are valid in Service spaces, Loading spaces, in pay visitor areas without charge, and in unnumbered spaces in all lots except lot 30 and lot 40.
